We are currently looking for a

Key Account Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


What are my responsibilities?
Key account manager will be responsible about the Water and Electricity Utilities.


Takes responsibility for the development, exploitation and maximization of the local/regional/global penetration and profitable growth of the assigned key customer across Siemens' organizational units.

In addition, retain and nurture key relationships over time to become a strategic partner and advisor to the client, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.


  • Generates knowledge on the customer's specific strategy and its political and business environment.
  • Analyses customer's markets, position and needs and investigates for specific business opportunities for customer related product and service portfolio.
  • Defines and implements the account business plan (3 to 5 years).
  • Prepares customer contacts and builds and maintains a sound customer focused network on all strategically relevant
- hierarchical levels, incl. CEO.

  • Builds value oriented offers.
  • Generates customer specific products and service portfolio concepts, if suitable across all services of a business.
  • Initiates, facilitates and contributes to contract negotiations for products, projects and service or solution assignments.
  • Manages customer complaints as point of escalation, if necessary.
  • Manages assigned organizational unit(s) and leads and / or coordinates dedicated management and staff.
  • Include digitalization topics in Customer Strategy (e.g. Digitalization roadmap), lead strategic digitalization projects and major digitalization GotoMarket activities (if applicable)
  • Identify and develop opportunities which generate digitalization business for Siemens.
  • Conducts strategic analysis in a broad range of topics (i.e. Market and competitors' analyses, M&A targets and Due diligence, benchmarking, analysis of strategic action fields).
  • Continuously coordinates the development and performs the controlling of subordinated business strategies, and the related business plans, budgets, and generates the respective reports.
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into longlasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


More than 7 years Key Account Management/Senior Sales and related management experience with a track record of successful performance (new orders), preferably in the relevant industry / market.

Minimum 3 years experience in managing complex projects/customers successfully.

Preferably, experience as a manager of a team in an international environment.
