The Teaching & Learning Office is a dynamic team that supports learning across the district via its mission of _empowering educators to empower students,_ with a focus on the ISG guiding principles and strategic goals.

The office is responsible for accreditations, the continuous curriculum review cycles, professional development, learning support, instructional technology, leadership development, school improvement, data, assessment, summer learning, instructional resources, grading, assessment and program development.

The Data, Assessment and Curriculum Coordinator supports the school improvement process by overseeing data collection, warehousing, analysis and reporting. They coordinate assessments, ensuring compliance and accuracy. The coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining data quality and integrity while assessing growth opportunities for programs.

They provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to facilitate evidence-based decision-making, supporting the district's efforts in continuous improvement and learning support.


  • Job Duties
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Data
  • Facilitate and maintain the Data Dashboard and data protocols
  • Facilitate ongoing data implementation (surveys, learning walks, assessments) with school and district administration and school improvement teams
  • Create, maintain and facilitate reflection of data through reports, presentations and committee meetings
  • Utilize data analysis tools and software to generate reports, visualizations and summaries to support decisionmaking at the district and school levels
  • Implement procedures and protocols to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of data collected and stored within district systems
  • Collaborate with district and school leaders to identify key performance indicators and goals, based on data analysis, to guide strategic planning and improvement initiatives
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support evidencebased decisionmaking at the district, school and classroom levels
  • Assessments
  • Coordinate districtwide and schoollevel assessments, ensuring compliance with testing requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators and assessment coordinators at individual schools to develop assessment calendars, distribute materials and manage logistics for assessment administration
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective assessment practices, including test item development, scoring and data interpretation
  • Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
  • Ensure that the curriculum is inclusive, culturally responsive and is supportive of the diverse needs of students
  • Support teachers in implementing the curriculum by providing guidance, resources and professional development
  • Develop, coordinate and monitor academic programs and oversee curriculum updates
  • Provide guidance on instructional practices based on system goals, data and student needs
  • Utilize assessment data to make decisions about student learning and programs
  • Facilitate professional development workshops
  • Maintain and further develop the ISG curriculum warehouse

  • Maintain regular communications with teachers, grade level and content area teams, school improvement teams, leadership teams and the system planning team
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on progress, successes and address concerns

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to educators
  • Promote, foster and support a professional learning community, facilitating learning sessions focused on our school improvement efforts
