    Education&Experience

    High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in ahotel or a related fieldpreferred.

    At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or relatedfieldpreferred.

    PhysicalRequirements

    Flexible and long hours sometimesrequired.

    Very heavy work Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of forceoccasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 poundsof force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise moveobjects.

    Able to withstand significant extremes in temperature fluctuationsin the workingenvironment.

    Ability to stand during entireshift.

    Maintain par on beer, wine, liquor, and other inventory items asrequired, and notify supervisor on deviations from thestandard.

    Notify ordering department when goods and/or services arereceived.

    Receive food, beer, wine, liquor and operational supplies accordingto schedule. Inspect for proper specifications (quantity andquality). Inspect wines for correct vintner and vintage. Ensurethat all items received are in good condition and refuse damagedgoods or goods that do not have properdocumentation.

    Solicit assistance from chef or designee as required, in qualitydeterminations.

    Secure goods in appropriate storageareas.

    Maintain an efficient and timely filingsystem.

    Dateall items as required. Rotate stock of all food items on a firstin, first outbasis.

    Fillout all required departments requisitions asappropriate.

    Handle incoming and outgoing packages according to companystandards.

    Process delivery receipts and invoices and forward to Accounting ona dailybasis.

    Reconcile purchase orders and receiving documentation withAccounting on a weeklybasis.

    Maintain daily receiving logs for all products and servicesreceived.

    Check pricing, discounts, extensions and totals on invoices, whereapplicable. Compare quantities to receiving documents. Investigateand rectifydiscrepancies.

    Maintain efficient security and control on all storage areas, whereapplicable.

    Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financialevents and/or deviations of policies orprocedures.

    Ensure guest package receiving policies are strictly followed,whereapplicable.

    Marginal

    Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist infinding and implementingsolutions.

    Update supervisor or management on all pricechanges.

    Actas Accounting Representative duringinventory.

    Clean storeroom, receiving dock and work area asneeded.

    Attend meetings/training as required bymanagement.

    Perform other duties as requested bymanagement.



    Skills Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety andEnvironment Management system principles Knowledge of environmentaland health impact of chemicals being stored in the warehouseKnowledge of identification, handling, storing and disposal ofwastes and expired chemicals Ability to add, subtracts, multiply,and divides in all units of measure. Ability to pass a typing testat 35 words per minute Ability to operate a personal computer andrelated software Good communication skills in EnglishLanguage.
