    WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
    As aWarehouse Assistant you will be responsible to control the flow ofstock through the warehouse monitoring goods in and out safely andefficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records.You are also expected to support to the logistics teams in terms ofshipment and documentation preparation. Asa Warehouse Assistant you are responsible for:
    • Responsible for the receiptinspection handling stocking identification and issue ofmaterials
    • Maintenance of all documents andrecords of all dealings pertaining to storage
    • Quarantining of defective/short materials away from thestock
    • Monitor and maintain stock levels befamiliar and thorough with the full range of Gatesproducts
    • Assisting in Stock taking /registering of inventory at appropriateintervals.
    • Ensure that proper identificationand traceability methods / means for the inventory areestablished.
    • Follow necessary safetyregulations applicable work instructions operating proceduresmethod statements etc.
    • Report all incidentsaccidents nearmisses unsafe conditions and acts to theSupervisors/Safety Officer.
    • Provide onthejobtraining to new & existing department staffmembers.
    • Ensure warehouse is kept in a cleanand safe condition and all products are kept in their appropriateplace
    • Follow necessary safety regulationsapplicable work instructions operating procedures method statementetc. as required in carrying out the jobs. Use proper PPEs sparetools equipments and accessories to the optimumutility
    • Ensure compliance with all applicablestandards Company quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice tothe QHSE department of any nonconformanceissues
    • Ensure processes and practices arebenchmarked with internationalstandards/regulations/codes
    • In addition toyour normal working hours you might be required to work Overtime asand when required by the business / workload.
    • At times you may have to cover the work load of other WarehouseAssistants when he/she is on leave/Vacation along with your normalduties.
    • To follow and practice DNV/API auditprocedures and processes as set out by thecompany
    • Comply with all occupational healthsafety and environmental procedures of both the company and ofclient while working
    • In addition shall alsosupport the activities of the other units wheneverrequested
    Required Experience:
    • Functions as an team contributorwith no supervisory responsibilities
    • Preferredto have a Vocational Certificate or High SchoolCertificate
    • Should have more than three yearsof experience as a Warehouse Assistant
    • Commitment to continuous improvement in Quality Health Safety andthe Environment (QHSE).
    RequiredSkills:
    • Ability to plan scheduleand prioritize the activities.
    • Ability toresolve simple problems.
    • Able to communicatein English and to operate a computer system to generate systembased transactions and documentation
    • Goodnumerical interpersonal and organizationalskills.
