The Corporate Investment Bank, WKO (Wholesale Know Your Client Operations) Client Due Diligence team plays a critical role in ensuring that as an organisation, we are compliant with multiple regulations, to protect the bank's reputation and financial assets.

JP Morgan has developed their Global Operating Model to provide a business wide process for the delivery of KYC (Know Your Client) across all Lines of Business in every Region.


As part of Banking Operations, the Client Due Diligence Partnership Team operates in close partnership with Sales, Operations, Credit, Legal and Compliance to provide efficient and timely on-boarding of new client relationships to the JP Morgan infrastructure.


Job Summary


The Client Due Diligence Partner (CDDP) will manage the client experience throughout the on-boarding of new to bank clients and the refresh for existing clients, maintaining the highest standard of excellence in customer service.

Effective communication skills are a key part of this role as it requires building and maintaining strong working relationships across the firm with multiple line of business, operations, and compliance and support functions in a changeable environment.

**Job Responsibilities

  • Primary Point of contact for Front office for all client due diligence responsibilities / activities and liaising directly with our client and act as a trusted advisor to the business, also ensuring client communication for due diligence requests are concise, complete, and accurately capture the client due diligence and product requirements
  • Exhaust all internal and public systems for documentation and verify validity, to minimize the burden on clients and review all Client Due Diligence requirements to assess the risk associated with clients to determine the client risk profile, PEP/ Sanctions exposure, if any
  • Carrying out regular reviews of Client Due Diligence in line with internal guidance and agreed policies and procedures and proactively responding to queries from front office and clients as part of our service
  • Frequently interact with key stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Credit and Operations to develop strong partnerships, eliminate roadblocks and ensure continuity of information flow across the groups
  • Manage personal workload and priority items and ensure timely escalation of key risks/issues to management and keep informed of any changes to processes and procedures, regulatory change and ensure open verbal dialogue with colleagues across the EMEA region
  • Identify and execute process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business
  • Maintain a globally agreed quality pass rate for Know Your Client records reviewed by Quality Control and sampled by Quality Assurance

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A working knowledge of Know Your Client /Compliance/Anti Money Laundering procedures and standards
  • Extensive client due diligence/ on boarding experience and expertise and the ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of conflict resolution
  • Superior comprehension skills and attention to detail are critical along with a strong teamplayer mindset and keen to be an active and supportive member of the team
  • Effective analytical and problemsolving ability, along with excellent decision making and organizational skills are essential.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, coupled with strong time management, organisational, relationship building skills
  • Quality focused work ethic and strong controls mindset
  • Adaptable to work in an evolving and changeable environment whilst proactively managing and driving forward your career and identifying personal training needs for development
