Job Summary

The Staff/Chief Scientist Ammonia Technologist is expectedto initiate propose and execute research and developmentdebottlenecking/revamp energysaving and sustainability improvementprograms directed towards the improvement of processes andcommercial technologies. They will lead inhouse new processtechnology development scale up and implementations in commercialplants. Additionally they will provide technology support tocommercial plants for shutdown turnover and recommissioning asneeded. The ammonia technologist will also provide troubleshootingand root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution forcommercial plants. Initially they will support growth projects andbe aware of the differences in available licensing technology frommain licensors allowing for the selection of the best technologybased on these differences.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Provide directions and lead Green Blue Ammoniadevelopment technology and project selection
• Be aware of Decarbonization solutions in the industry andlink them to the technology selection exercise
• Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis supportand drive problem resolution for commercial plants
• Develop Plantwide Models in Aspen Plus or similarsoftware and guide plant improvements/performance
• Carry out energy and mass balance calculations energyoptimization/pinch studies pump hydraulics calculations heatexchanger design and calculations various catalyst performanceevaluations feasibility studies and revamp studies
• Independently review engineering documents and steertechnology selection and improvements
• Providetechnology support to commercial plants for shutdown turnover andrecommissioning as needed
• Collaborate withexternal companies startups and universities and lead projectstoward implementation in the plant
• Provideinsights directions and support to product development within thegroup
• Actively contribute to the safetyculture coach young employees and initiate new programs.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Riyadh SaudiArabia.
• Masters or PhD ispreferred.
• Experience of 15 years directlyworking supporting and implementing various process improvement andenergy improvement solutions in Ammonia assets built with varioustechnology providers.
• Strategic thinking andplanning.
• Leadership skills to work andinfluence highly talented people with diversified disciplines andcultures.
• Ability to create foster and drive aculture of innovation.
• Excellent interpersonaland communication skills.
• Highlyselfmotivated.
