RoleResponsibilities

• Managing theinfrastructure and the applications deployed onAWS.
  
• Maintainingand managing AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, SNS, CloudFront,CloudWatch, IAM, Lambda, VPC, Auto Scaling, CloudTrail, CertificateManager, Application Load Balancer, Route53
  
• Managing webservers and other resources such as Nginx, PHP-FPM, pm2, andSupervisord
  
• Periodicpatching and managing of Linux servers, updating the requiredpackages and other system services to its latestversion.
  
• Respondingto any issues and troubleshootingoutages.
  
• Maintaininguptime and high availability for the AWS services required forrunning the application on differentenvironments.
  
• Performingand automating routine tasks such Backup/Restore, Maintenance,Report generation, Disk management, Scheduling Cronjobs.
  
• Setting upAlerting and Monitoring, troubleshooting critical incidents, andreviewing server logs.
  
• Configuringand effectively using APM tools such as Newrelic, Datadog, andPerconca.
  
• Managingincidents and communicating updates to allstakeholders.
  
• Cloud costoptimization and ensuring cloud infra is secure follow industrybest practices by using CloudTrail, GuardDuty,etc.
  
• Encouragingand building automated processes whereverpossible
  
• Helpingdevelopers with the deployment of applications in differentenvironments
  
• Striving forcontinuous improvement and building continuous integration,continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CDPipeline)
  
• Beingavailable on-call for handling critical issues on theplatforms
  

Requirements

• Hands-onexperience in networking security, databases, and cloudsystems
  
• Provenknowledge in various scripting languages, system & serveradministration, and mass systemdeployments
  
• Workingknowledge in cloud platform deployment and programminglanguages
  
• Goodknowledge of various APMtools
  
• Excellenttroubleshootingskills
  
• Awareness ofcritical concepts in DevOps and Agileprinciples
  
• Strongcommunicationskills
  
• Strong senseof ownership and personalaccountability
