Our client is a forward-looking maritime facility with a vision to become the 'Shipyard of the Future.

The facility is set to be one of the largest maritime facilities in the world, with the capacity to build various types of vessels, including very large crude carriers, offshore drilling rigs, and commercial ships.

It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.


Job context


The Consultant shall lead the efforts in exploring, initiating, developing, and validating good and effective governance and best practice in supply chain management, quality improvements, cost savings and other sourcing related opportunities in the functions of PSCM.

As a Consultant, you will be in charge of end-to-end performance and supplier performance management, operating in accordance with corporate policies and processes, defined governance and delegations of authority.

A primary focus is to create transformative strategies based on supply market expertise, current and future business needs and innovation that identify impactful business value.


  • Developing procedures, plans and standards for the CoE as well as review and advise on the other policies and procedures of PSCM.
  • Preparing a corporate plan and annual business plan for PSCM and monitor progress against these plans.
  • Working with cost specialist in performing comprehensive cost analysis and cost modeling.
  • Managing development of effective negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Developing Suppliers selection criteria based on IMI business strategies to develop an approved supplier list that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology.
  • Using Project Management skills and tools to investigate alternate component technologies for improved quality and reliability and implement changes.
  • Coordinating with management for supplier agreement review, development, and maintenance.
  • Taking supplier performance survey and feedback and provide recommendations.
  • Developing category management strategies for assigned categories to achieve business objectives.
  • Setting KPIs for the departments under PSCM.
  • Working closely with Strategic Sourcing department and have a good localization plan and to oversee the implementation of the same.
  • Ensuring the achievement of committed objectives, plan and conduct negotiations, anticipate future trends and assess opportunities.
  • Monitoring the performance of all the departments under PSCM to ensure that they operate to a high standard and to identify any areas of potential improvement.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor University Degree in related Engineering Disciplines.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic.
  • Being proactive, flexible, resilient, and results oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
