Director, Commercial Manager

Fitch Learning is currently seeking a Director, Commercial Manager based out of our Riyadh, KSA office.

  • Aligned with our corporate strategy we aim to build, develop and grow our presence and learning offering in KSA. To that end, we now seek an experienced Commercial Manager who can help shape and scale our new KSA office.
  • You will be primarily responsible for positioning Fitch Learning and the services we offer clients, this will include Sales & Marketing in KSA and Client Service. You will also provide general commercial advice across the wider MEA Fitch Learning business.
  • Your focus on this role will be to manage existing, develop new and scale our KSA office to enhance Fitch's standing in the region and relevant financial markets, complementing our existing MEA business.
  • Based in Riyadh to align with our existing UAE, Dubai office presence you will build out a small team and work with your peers across functions. This will include our B2B Business Development teams, faculty and product specialists. This role is accountable directly for revenue, we value commerciality in all of our senior team and this role would expect to be client facing.

We'll Count on You To:


Leadership

  • Reporting to the CEO, provide regular updates on business performance, challenges and new opportunities, maintaining a revenue centric reporting approach
  • Actively help identify, manage and develop new commercial opportunities, specifically in the financial services sector
  • Increase Thought Leadership in the region, helping shape and position the message across Fitch's media channels
  • Help build and lead the KSA Team, ensuring you can build out a team setting a dynamic and driven environment
  • Deliver against key performance indicators, examples of which include
  • Business Development directing activity to meet defined sales activity targets, plus of team
  • Client Quality
- feedback from learners, market reputation, topicality

  • Oversee team interaction, communications and development

Commercial

  • Achieve revenue and other financial targets, continually driving performance to new levels
  • Help develop the GCC 'Go 2 Market' strategy, including positioning, marketing and media channels
  • Work with finance to establish revenue, cost and profit metrics
  • Develop sales strategy with business developers, ensuring they are equipped to market offering

Technical

  • Understand at a deep level the knowledge and skill requirements of the KSA Financial Services market and help to translate that understanding into commercial vision
  • See and interpret emerging themes into sales and marketing themes to shape business development activity
  • Work closely with the technical stakeholders, including faculty and product providers
  • Work with Fitch Group teams to provide input and ideas on KSA market themes

What You Need to Have:


  • Significant KSA Financial Services Learning & Development markets experience (>8 years) in working in commercial (or L&D) role in a financial institution
  • Commercial expertise gained through sales advisory or direct client interactions
  • Excellent skills in relationship building.
  • Ability to operate and report at a senior level, working in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment
  • Conflict Management, Negotiation, Problem Solving, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Building skills
  • Commercial Business Acumen, Sales & Marketing
  • Revenue management, presenting financial performance, analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate across Sales, Operational and Technical teams
  • Technical competence in Learning & Development, Financial markets, Senior Management presentations
  • Fluent in English
  • Saudi National for Authorisation purposes
