Job Purpose

  • To develop, plan, manage, monitor and control all facility management projects initiatives within DP World Jeddah.
  • Control and oversee all the maintenance and improvement required for the utilities, buildings and infrastructure.
  • Manage the FM subcontractors to ensure all facilities maintenance, operations, maintenance, cleanliness, sanitization and pest control are following DP World Standards.
  • To support departments in any part of their budget related to utilities, buildings and infrastructure of the business unit.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders for infrastructure and utilities related projects.
  • To manage and coordinate activities of Project Development and Facilities Maintenance across the port in a costeffective manner with due regards to performance, safety and quality.

Key Accountabilities

  • Facility Management _
  • Prepare and manage annual budget for the Facility Management and facility Department
  • Ensure the delivery of Facilities Management services to a high standard.
  • Identifying opportunities that will continuously improve all aspects of FM operations and focus on quality of service delivery, ensuring best practice
  • Lead the Energy Management and Environmental/Sustainability focus for FM
  • Support the development of FM contracts and contractor management
  • Support and lead the management of all Hard Services and soft services for facility management. Incl. Asset Management across DP World facilities and maintenance
  • Ensure records are created and maintained for building (site log books) to demonstrate full operational procedures are followed
  • Contribute to FM Procurement strategy and benchmarking projects
  • Responsibility for the delivery of FM Helpdesk services and systems
  • Inspects areas in need of maintenance or repair and determines the action needed and document regular facilities inspections
  • Participates in negotiations with private businesses and fulfils facilities maintenance and utilities services obligations in accordance with leases/licenses/operating agreements
  • Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and lifecycle requirements
  • Advise on measures to improve the efficiency and costeffectiveness of the facility
  • Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and wellmaintained
  • Set relevant KPIs for ensure the performance and monitoring of the FM contractors
  • Projects _
  • Develop projects requirements based on HO projects and development department guidelines and Supporting the project's design, supervision consultants with all the technical data to prepare the projects SOW
  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and accomplishes a variety of construction, maintenance, repair projects and development projects
  • Reviews project and building plans and makes recommendations for modification within the parameters of the approved site plan and budget
  • Follows contracting laws to hire professional services, to purchase materials and equipment, and to award construction\maintenance contracts and prepares recommendations to award contracts
  • Monitors construction and repairs in progress to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Resolves problems with design, materials, and processes in connection with new construction and major repair
  • Overcome and solve arisen challenges with all the port governmental authorities, manage, monitor and control all the projects technical issue from the project site handover to the contractor till it's taking over with the assistant of projects consultants
  • Revising and primary approval for all the projects and maintenance invoices
  • Revising and primary approval for all the projects change orders and variation
  • To direct responsibly for the development of new construction or remodels, oversight of engineers, architects and other consultants, budgeting, contract administration, scheduling, and coordination with operations during expansion project implementation
  • Oversee construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations
  • Digitalization Transformation _
  • Lead the digital transformation initiatives for Facility Management
  • Design strategy to automate and systemise all the manual functionalities
  • Defines with stakeholders the digitization strategy to increase asset performance optimization, Improve sustainability with savings on energy spend and Improve workforce efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT department in the identification and implementation of digital technologies into Facility Management.
  • Overseas the deployment of new and changed functionality into the Terminal, including developing existing technology and end user capabilities
