Major Responsibilities


The QA/QC Engineering is expected to maintain and improve the Company department quality program in order to assure high quality services and deliverables.

This shall include reviewing and giving feedback on consultant quality management systems (QMS), helping to establish key performance indicators (KPI), performing root cause analysis, problem solving techniques, identifying lesson learned, auditing engineering activity and executing ongoing QA/AC activities across the department.


Preferred Technical
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001 standards as applied to engineering design.

Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.

Experience in reviewing design packages, reviewing and approving shop drawings and technical submittals and responding to technical queries.

Experience with the effective implementation of standardized technical documentation across multiple Engineering offices.

Familiar with industry standards and codes.

Experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.

Ability to work within an integrated Royal Commission/Bechtel team at multiple levels from working levelto Project Manager level.


QA/QC
Able to work in a culturally diverse environment.


We envisage success in this role to include:
Reporting on Quality performance.

Leading quality initiatives and activities on the project to ensure management goals and objectives are met

Defining and implementing quality system tools and procedures to support work processes

Performing internal audits of work

Participating in project kickoff meetings

Preparing regular periodic quality reports on the effectiveness of the quality program/plan implementation

Maintenance and ongoing improvement of a lessons learned program

Reviewing of all Contractors quality and testing, submissions for contract compliance. Carrying out surveillance activities on Contractor's construction activities to ensure compliance with approved methods/materials.

Conducting internal training where appropriate.

Issuing regular guidance and information to quality department and engineering staff to ensure key issues are effectively managed.

Assisting senior construction staff to monitor and close non-conformances.

Reporting on Quality performance at construction meetings.

Quality control reviews of key department deliverables (i.e.

engineering input to technical services and construction contracts, addendums, consultant scopes of work, design change notices, field change documents etc.)



Reviewing of all Contractors quality and testing, submissions for contract compliance.


Qualifications


To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

8 Years of your career will have been spent in a QAQC position Qualified to latest
