Inventory Management

  • Monitor Inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimise loss, theft, or damage.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Manage the "quarantine" of items for repair including sourcing suppliers to carry out repairs/replacements.

Data Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or databases. Knowledge of Current RMS is preferable.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements and trends for management review.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns or discrepancies and make recommendations for improvement.

Coordination

  • Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse and sales departments to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to deliveries, quality or discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on inventory goals and objectives.

Process Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management, including FIFO, (First in First out) and JIT (Just in Time) principles.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory management.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices in inventory control and management.

What kind of person are you?

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
