Inventory Management
- Monitor Inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimise loss, theft, or damage.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Manage the "quarantine" of items for repair including sourcing suppliers to carry out repairs/replacements.
Data Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or databases. Knowledge of Current RMS is preferable.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements and trends for management review.
- Analyse data to identify patterns or discrepancies and make recommendations for improvement.
Coordination
- Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse and sales departments to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to deliveries, quality or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on inventory goals and objectives.
Process Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices for inventory management, including FIFO, (First in First out) and JIT (Just in Time) principles.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory management.
- Stay informed about industry standards and best practices in inventory control and management.
What kind of person are you?
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
