    Overview

    Weare seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Corporate DataOffice within our Digital Transformation AdminArea.

    The Corporate Data Office is responsiblefor establishing and executing worldclass Corporatewide datagovernance to ensure all data assets are proactively andefficiently governed and managed across Saudi Aramco to foster adatadriven organization and promote data value realization in linewith its strategic goals and to adequately comply with national andinternational data regulations.

    The Data Engineerwill be responsible for expanding and optimizing data and datapipeline architecture as well as optimizing data flow andcollection for crossfunctional teams.

    The DataEngineer will be an experienced data pipeline builder and datawrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them fromthe ground up. The Data Engineer will support external softwaredevelopers database architects data analysts and data scientists onstrategic data initiatives and will ensure optimal data deliveryarchitecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects within theCorporate Data Officer and beyond.

    Duties& Responsibilities

    • Create andmaintain optimal data pipeline architecture for the Corporate DataOffice;
    • Assemble large complex data sets thatmeet functional / nonfunctional businessrequirements;
    • Identify design and implementinternal process improvements: automating manual processesoptimizing data delivery redesigning infrastructure for greaterscalability etc.
    • Design and build newcuttingedge Data Quality management productfeatures
    • Build the infrastructure required foroptimal extraction transformation and loading of data from a widevariety of data sources;
    • Build data analyticstools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insightsinto data compliance operational efficiency and other key businessperformance metrics;
    • Optimize the performanceof Corporate data platforms and services to ensure that they canhandle large volumes of data and support realtime processing andanalysis.
    • Build out Corporate data qualitychecks and develop processes for identifying and resolving dataquality issues.
    • Develop a corporate datalibrary / metadata repository including best practice fordevelopment of data transformationspecifications;
    • Enable the engineeringcomponents to the rollout of the Corporate data strategy frameworkwith a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection ofsensitive data through related tools andarchitecture.
    • Establish measures to chartprogress related to the completeness and quality of metadata forenterprise information; to support reduction of data redundancy andfragmentation and elimination of unnecessary movement of data; andto improve data quality.

    Education& ExperienceRequirements

    • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Management of Information System or InformationManagement from a recognized and approved program. An advanceddegree is preferred.
    • Ten (10) years ofexperience with largescale data management and oversightexperience
    • Candidate must have knowledge ofindustryleading data quality and data protection managementpractices.
    • Candidate should have priorexperience of implementing data governance platforms/tooling e.g.Informatica Collibra Alation etc.
    • Candidatewill have experience of creating data pipelines ETL processes datamodeling and data quality rules is highlydesirable.
    • Candidate will be able to conductdata profiling cataloging and mapping for technical design andconstruction of technical data flows
    • Candidatewill be able to demonstrate consulting skills with changemanagement concepts and strategies including communication culturechange and performance measurement systemdesign.
    • Knowledge of risk data architectureparticularly within the Oil and Gassector.
