Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous QC Welding Inspectorto oversee the welding processes and ensure the quality of steelstorage tank fabrication. The ideal candidate will have extensiveexperience in welding inspection particularly in the fabrication ofsteel storage tanks and possess a keen eye for detail to uphold thehighest standards of quality andsafety.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• WeldingInspection: Conduct thorough inspections of weldingprocesses including prewelding during welding and postweldingstages to verify compliance with relevant codes standards andspecifications.
  
• QualityAssurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensurethe integrity durability and safety of steel storage tanks duringfabrication.
  
• Documentation:Maintain detailed records of inspections test results andnonconformance reports to provide comprehensive documentation ofwelding activities and adherence tostandards.
  
• Coordination:Collaborate closely with welding personnel engineers projectmanagers and other stakeholders to address any quality issuespromptly andeffectively.
  
• MaterialInspection: Perform inspections of materials used in tankfabrication including steel plates welding consumables and coatingsto verify compliance withspecifications.
  
• NonDestructiveTesting (NDT): Oversee and interpret results of NDTmethods such as ultrasonic testing radio graphic testing magneticparticle testing and dye penetrate testing to detect flaws ordefects inwelds.
  
• SafetyCompliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols andregulations during welding operations to maintain a safe workingenvironment for all personnelinvolved.
  
• Trainingand Development: Provide guidance and training to weldingpersonnel on proper welding techniques quality standards andregulatory requirements to enhance skills andknowledge.
  
• ContinuousImprovement: Identify areas for process improvement andimplement corrective actions to enhance efficiency productivity andquality in weldingoperations.
  
• ClientCommunication: Liaise with clients inspectors andregulatory authorities to address any concerns provideclarification on inspection findings and ensure customersatisfaction.

• Education:Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in Welding TechnologyMechanical Engineering or a related fieldpreferred.
  
• Certifications:Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognizedorganization such as the American Welding Society (AWS) isrequired.

Mechanical Diploma or ITI course in mechanical engineering. Minimum3-5 years of relevant work experience in pipeline fitting withinthe Oil & Gas sector. Work experience certificate is mandatory.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge ofLPG systems, tanks, valves, and fittings. Familiarity with standardoperating procedures and safety guidelines in the Oil & Gasindustry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detailand a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Must bephysically fit and able to work in potentially challengingconditions.
