وصف

• Provide mental health care to incarcerated adults and conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up care.
  
• Determine and coordinate disposition of patients for appropriate level of mental health care.
  
• Coordinate with Reentry Social Workers for appropriate discharge planning services.
  
• Complete required statistical reports.
  
• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to ensure access to patients, proper housing, and treatment disposition.
  
• Coordinate patient care with other institutional programs.
  
• Develop and lead group treatment on mental health observation units and other units as assigned.
  
• Complete all required documentation.
  
• Participate in clinical supervision with Clinical Supervisor at least once a week.
  
• Participate in mental health and medical rounds as assigned.
  
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning for patients receiving and being considered for mental health treatment.
  
• Conduct psychological testing as assigned.
  
• Supervise social work interns or student volunteers as assigned.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, and Clinical Supervisor.
  

Requirements

• Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  
• New York State License in Social Work, License in Mental Health Counseling, or licensure in Psychology.
  
• At least 2 years of experience assessing and treating adults with behavioral problems, substance use histories and severe mental illness.
