Substitute Teacher (English Speaking) Sporadic Work Based on Need.

_The American International School - Riyadh is seeking qualified substitute teachers to add to our Substitute pool. Substitute teachers must maintain availability to accept assignments to fill in when full-time teachers are absent._

Employment Criteria:


Basic Qualifications:


  • An individual who has prior experience working with students.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • He/she possesses good interpersonal skills and interacts well with children.

Performance Responsibilities:

Assumes classroom responsibilities when the Teacher is absent
:


  • Respects work hours of 8:00 am 3:30 pm.
  • Substitute teacher follows lesson plan consistent with teacher guidelines and school curriculum.
  • Substitute teacher has prior experience working with students in a K12 school.
  • Can manage groups of students in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Able to provide a positive learning experience.
  • Supervises students and ensures order.
  • Engages in problemsolving conversations with students when conflict arises.
  • Ensures that students are cleaning and tidying up before exiting.
  • Follows AIS-R emergency protocol and child safeguarding practices.

Period of Appointment:

This position is sporadic throughout the year, based on needs and teacher absence.

Pay Amount:

SR 400 per workday.


Evaluation:


  • The performance will be evaluated and assessed by the Principal and Director of Human Resources.
  • All substitute appointments are made at the discretion of the Director of Human Resources and Principal.
