Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Real Estate Development Director to join our team In this role you will get to provide your real estate expertise to projects within a program or program valued up to $500 million in total installed cost.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide leadership in the management of the development process, including site selection, due diligence, feasibility studies, entitlements, design development, construction, and delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for each project, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market demands.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to drive project success.
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and cost management throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, summarizing project status, key milestones, and other performance KPI's.
- Lead master planning and urban planning efforts, collaborating with design teams to create sustainable and livable communities.
- Identify and mitigate risks, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during the development process.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
- Experience leading feasibility studies and preparing comprehensive reports for clients.
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problemsolving skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 25 years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on construction management, project leadership, and master planning.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex real estate development projects from inception to completion.
