Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Manager:
The job of a production manager includes a set of tasks and responsibilities that fall on the manager from planning the product until it is released to the customer, and can be summarized as follows:

  • Product planning and creation of production schedules.
  • Supervision of production and manufacturing operations.
  • Ensuring adequacy of stock and requesting unavailable resources.
  • Setting standards for quality and discussing budget expectations for the product.
  • Periodic maintenance of equipment and repair of damaged ones.
  • Reviewing workers' performance and identifying training needs in addition to training new workers.
  • Supervising and motivating the work team.
  • Work with managers to achieve company goals in accordance with its policy while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collecting and analyzing data and contacting different departments and companies.
  • Monitor production rates and ensure product standards.

Production manager skills and qualifications
The job of a production manager requires many skills and experiences in addition to obtaining an appropriate qualification.

The manager needs the following skills:

  • The manager must hold a qualification in one of the disciplines such as business administration, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, production engineering, as well as industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • He must possess high experience in the field of manufacturing and production management and have vocational training.
  • Ability to plan and organize so that one can run and control production processes.
  • The skill to act decisively and the ability to solve problems whether related to equipment or personnel.
  • The ability to understand all complex concepts and the ability to interpret them easily.
  • The person must possess high knowledge in the field of information and communication technology in order to be able to deal with all the various programs and technologies.
