The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible in assisting the Marketing Manager with all Marketing Planning & Execution strategies for the hotel.
- Manages and coordinates Public Relations activities that promote revenue growth generation and supports the hotel's brand positioning and image. Leverages and executes social media strategies in partnership with Marketing and hotel revenue management teams to achieve brand position. Cultivates and maintains media relationships to promote brand/property awareness.
- Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Collaborates with Hotel Management, Marketing, and Revenue Management on the development and execution of Public Relations strategies to drive Revenue through the use media relations (print, TV, internet and radio) and social media. Collaborates with and leverages Hilton and Waldorf Astoria regional and national PR resources.
- Cultivates and maintains strong, positive media relationships on a national, regional and local level through personalized pitches, facetoface meetings and familiarization tours. Primary liason for press inquiries and press visits. Directly handle media requests, including developing pitch materials and providing media interview support. Develops compelling ideas for pitching stories to media. Maintains press materials and media site.
- Maintains hotels' social media channels to promote greater customer engagement and to promote special rates, special events and property announcements. Responds to guest requests/feedback on property blogs and social media channels.
- Works collaboratively with key internal teams to develop and promote special events to drive local and leisure business to the hotels. Develop promotions that are newsworthy.
- Write and distribute press releases; liaison with reporters & media outlets; proactive placement of stories with local/regional/national media outlets.
- Monitor press coverage and maintain media clip book.
- Coordinates with Corporate PR Team on crisis management communications.
- Assists in promoting positive community relationships.
- Collaborate with Brand PR/Marketing teams on new initiatives.
- Assists internal departments with PR and social media activities.
