Job Summary:

The role will be responsible for budget and cost planning management during pre-contracts stage.


You'll be responsible for:


  • Directing and managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and responsible for staff development.
  • Being able to evaluate trends and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment using numerical and statistical techniques as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
  • Advising on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  • Managing projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
  • Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
  • Leading and managing a team of professionals delivering Projects Controls services and responsible for staff development.
  • Managing Assistant Managers & Managers where required by the scale of the project.
  • Persuading and influencing colleagues.
  • Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations.
  • Satisfying customer requirements.
  • Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution.
  • Delegating tasks to others.
  • Selling the business and winning work.
  • Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences.
  • Spotting and developing talented individuals.

You'll need to have:


  • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
  • Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in cost planning during precontracts stage
