Responsibilities:


  • Development & implementation of a strategy for the Finance function, which is consistent with the overall Company strategy and supports the short & long term objectives of the business. Ensures adherence to all relevant accounting standards and best practice. In doing so, ensure that the Finance function is positioned as a key service provider and partner to the business.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to help the company in Listing to main market in line with the company strategy and BOD vision
  • Direct & finalisation of the annual budget & business plan in line with Company objectives & strategies, and within the designated timeframes.
  • Direct & facilitate the preparation and consolidation of the annual and longterm Capital, Operating & Revenue budgets and business plans ensuring adherence to the Company's strategic objectives & goals, and compliance with requisite guidelines and time targets.
  • Oversee operating budgets and exercises controls to ensure expenditure do not exceed budgetary limits.
  • Monitor that all departments are working within established budgetary parameters.
  • Ensure that the Company has the required funds to finance its agreed budgets, projects and activities at suitable terms and conditions by:

o Ensuring that appropriate systems & processes are in place for the timely & accurate identification of funding requirements.


  • Recommending the best capital structure for the company. o Planning and implementing appropriate shifts in strategy for fundraising from time to time in line with the Company's growth and business progress.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationship with the banks and other financial institutions.
  • Review the monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all reconciling items are cleared and the accounting books & records are updated on a timely basis to reflect all cash and bank transactions. Manage verification and reconciliation tasks for invoices/receipts/balances of departments.
  • Support in working capital management
  • Ensures financial systems and controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Meet the shareholders and statutory financial reporting requirements by directing the preparation of financial statements and ensuring that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the Company's accounting policies, SOCPA accounting standards, IFRS etc, the timely and accurate preparation, presentation and delivery financial statements as per Accounting Policy requirements, expected standards and agreed deadlines/timeframes., and smooth completion of external audit
  • Ensure that there is an appropriate internal control framework in place within the Company to effectively manage Key Business Risks and safeguard the Company's assets.
  • Ensures all financial records are maintained in a manner acceptable to applicable government regulations.
  • Ensure that the Company operates in an environment of strong Corporate Governance and in particular ensure timely and effective compliance with all
o Audit obligations (internal or external).

o Taxation legislation & regulations, zakat regulation as they relate to the Company (including all tax compliance/ filing, payment & other obligations)

  • Ensures appropriate risk management, insurance and business continuity programmes, systems and processes necessary to mitigate financial and operational risk are in place and operating.
  • Ensure that there are appropriate processes and systems in place to monitor and report on actual financial performance of Company operations against approved budgets in order to ensure that business is delivering both the required and expected financial returns to the Company.
  • Ensure that there are appropriate & accurate processes and systems in place to support the pricing of the Company's products.
  • Keep abreast of changes or developments in International Accounting Standards, Taxation Legislation & regulations as well as Company law and corporate governance standards. Understand the implications of any such changes & developments for company, and plan & manage change where required.
  • Provide support in developing and implementing finance related authority matrix of the company. Ensure that Authority Matrix is updated.
  • Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Company.
  • Direct & coordinate the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all financial information systems within the Company.
  • Provides effective financial and commercial support across the organisation to improve financial performance of the company.
  • Ensure that there are appropriate processes and systems in place to monitor and report on actual financial performance of Company projects against approved budgets in order to ensure that proposed and approved projects are delivering both the required and expected financial returns to the Company.
