Job Context:

Working as a Testing & Commissioning Manager entails managing all aspects of the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) process to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Power substations.


Key Accountabilities:


The position involves:


  • Planning, coordinating, and overseeing the testing and commissioning activities for HV power substation projects.
  • Developing comprehensive T&C plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Establishing and maintaining strict quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of performance and reliability in substation equipment.
  • Conducting inspections and audits to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Supervising and leading a team of T&C engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensuring all T&C activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all T&C activities, including test results, commissioning reports, and project documentation.
  • Generating comprehensive progress reports and communicate status to project stakeholders.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting any issues or discrepancies during the T&C process, working collaboratively to find solutions, and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
  • Providing training and mentorship to T&C team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Staying uptodate with industry advancements and best practices in T&C for power substations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:


We are Looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
years of relevant work experience in the T&C of HV power substations.

  • Proven experience in managing T&C activities for largescale power projects.
  • Indepth knowledge of HV power substation equipment, systems, and components.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to T&C in the power sector.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and risk management in T&C activities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
