Overview of Role
Supporting the PM of the project with customer facing program management processes/communication.


The Customer Delivery Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring that projects are delivered to site in line with our contractual obligations.

The CDM will work with the Project Manager assigned to the project to deliver and align all local requirements for the installation, and Commissioning Process.

Supporting the PM of the project with customer facing program management process.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Assigned Project Manager (in the factory) to communicate with the customer end user.
  • Prepare and deliver the Civil Work Requirements documents to the customer.
  • Work with the PM to approve all site drawings.
  • Communicate the delivery schedule with the clients and manage their expectations.
  • Manage the pre installation requirements of each system.
  • Work with the customer to align the schedule of the cranes, forklift etc for the installation.
  • Visit the Site to review site status and approve civil works prior to install.
  • Address all IT requirements by the customers in order to complete a quick and fast integration.
  • Document a process for integrating x ray systems with third party software used by our client base.
  • Handover the Project to the service team and support with ongoing IT/Integration requests.
  • Management of Distributors and Sub Contractors.

Document the Project including:


  • Maintaining the Project Plan (Gantt Chart)
  • Reporting and consolidating all Project related documentation.
  • Working with the Rapiscan Logistics Manager to ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and approved within the related Project Milestones.
  • Work with the identified Installation and Training Team to ensure that all availability, travel, planning, labour and other resources are in place to complete the Project.
  • Manage the Installation at Site including:
  • Manage Customer expectations including installation timeframe.
  • Ensure completion of Project Plan including Estimate to Complete.
  • Work with other installation OEM Vendors such as Varian Medical Services.
  • Manage handover to the Customer including completion of Final Acceptance Corrective Actions.
  • Achieve Factory, Site and Final Project Acceptance in conjunction with the QA Team.
  • Customer Delivery Manager will be expected to interact with all Rapiscan Systems departments and adopt a hands on approach where required to ensure a project is delivered on time and on Budget.

Experience & Attributes:


  • A competent communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to articulate both the Product and Process to any Customer or Project Stakeholder.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects throughout the Project Lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of IT and electronic or complex multidisciplined systems.
  • Ideally managed installations of equipment Projects
  • Be prepared to travel to Project Sites or location for short periods to conduct acceptance activities, if required.
  • Dealt with Multi Agency, diverse Sub Contractors and/or complex Government End User/Customer at Site and throughout a Project Lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • IT/Software Degree or background.
  • Ideally APMP or similar PM professional qualification or PRINCE2 qualified.
  • Preferably Degree or HND educated in Electrical or Electronic Engineering discipline.
  • Ideally with additional background in H&S, ILS, QA or Process Development.
  • Fluent in the Arabic language is essential.
