  • Job description 1Korn Ferry is seeking a r Principal Consultant to join the Leadership Development Solution Area of its Advisory Practice. We are seeking an expert to design our high impact leadership development programs as well as deliver coaching and/or cohort program facilitation.
As a delivery-focused principal, your primary focus is to manage and deliver work at the highest level of quality. Your experience within Leadership Development enables success in leading and structuring complex engagements.

With clients, you create trusted, collaborative relationships by managing needs, expectations and the environment.

Contributions to new business development focus on structuring the solution, pricing and establishing oneself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal colleagues and external clients.


Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include leadership development delivery (e.g. program facilitation, solution design, and/or executive coaching), sales/business development, client engagement management, and contributing to the L&PD community of practice.

  • Deliver leadership development programs for Korn Ferry client
  • Our program designs may include large and small group facilitation, virtual instructorled sessions, assessment debrief and individual coaching sessions. Seamlessly partner with Korn Ferry cofacilitators and integrate internal client speakers and outside experts.
  • Design leadership development programs and develop materials including conducting interviews and diagnosis, identifying program objectives, developing learning architecture, and instructional design (workbooks, slides, facilitator guides, ppt's).
  • Currently, all work is done virtually using various platforms (e.g. Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom). In the future, when corporate travel resumes, typical programs may be residential 14 day programs with 2535 participants. Locations are diverse and client dependent.
  • Look for ways to expand and deepen client relationships e.g. active networking and partnering across KF lines of business.
  • Leverage insights to define, recommend and /or cocreate strategic solutions for the clients.
  • Contribute to winning profitable business by proposal writing, pricing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients. Assess the needs of large/complex clients, designing and delivering solutions to meet their needs.
  • Develop and/or support engagement structure, plan, resource needs and definition of deliverables and outcomes. Engagements may span multiple service lines and would typically involve managing multiple consultants from other offices/countries. Typical timescales could be 612 months
  • Build productive relationships with engagement and client team members setting clear expectations, direction and asking for feedback when appropriate
  • Mentor consultants, project managers and operations team. Give and receive feedback performance improvement and appreciative feedback.
  • Actively contribute to the global LD community by sharing best practices and participating in thought leadership and community forums.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Graduate, Doctorate or equivalent) plus 10+ years delivering leadership development engagements.
  • Relevant work experience in a top tier professional services firm and/or an internal HR/LD function of a large, complex organization.
  • Understand the leadership and organizational issues faced by business leaders, with ability to engage as a peer, act as a trusted advisor and place proposed services in their business situation or context
  • Experience conducting a needs analysis and then designing talent management, assessment and LD solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives/needs.
  • Experience using psychometric assessments to inform development/coaching goals (e.g., KF360 certification preferred; experience with assessments of personality traits, potential and leadership motivation desired)
  • An inclusive collaborator with strong influence skills and a demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly and develop and maintain strong partnerships with clients and across an organization.
