Introduction:


An experienced GIS Manager to deploy Esri GIS on behalf of the Client's delivery management organization to Designers and Contractors within a focused program containing multiple large projects.


GIS Manager Responsibilities


Execute the client organization GIS strategy and roadmap, aligning with the business objectives of the overall program and supporting Saudi 2030 vision.

Ensuring successful deployment of Esri GIS systems and modules for use by the Program delivery team and their designers and contractors across multiple projects


Auditing the efficiency and effectiveness of the GIS system's use by the delivery and design teams and making recommendations as to how GIS use can be improved.

Verifying and guiding the creation of maps, charts, and other visual representations of data to be used within the Program

Coordinating with and motivating GIS staff members in a matrixed delivery and client organization,

Ability to manage federated GIS models or models using data from multiple BIM and P6 models.


Organizing and where appropriate providing training on the use of GIS system including interfaces with other systems such as BIM, Prism, ARM and EDMS/Aconex.


Preparing and managing reports for the management team based on content provided through ARC-GIS Hub, including importing data from other systems using the inbuilt API's.


Monitoring and improving related procedures, methods and templates and documentation used in the training, deployment and support of the GIS and its related systems.


Relevant Experience


5 years as a GIS Team leader or Analyst, including managing workstreams and supporting technicians in the delivery of work.

Previous Project Manager/Technical Delivery Lead experience. Ideally using PMI / PRINCE2 / Agile /Architecture-driven agile methodologies or other structured workstream delivery methodologies.

Knowledge of ArcGIS, QGIS, ESRI and HUB, also MapInfo, Open Layers and web mapping APIs.

Knowledge of analytics-based mapping workflows, use-cases and requirements.

Experience with Geospatial imagery types such as satellite and aerial photography images

Understanding of Construction and Design environments in large projects, preferably within GCC

Knowledge of Database Management, using structured data, SQL and API's.

Knowledge of Spatial Analysis including buffering, clipping, and exploring the relationships between map features.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
