Responsible for planning, design and development. Coordination of design projects from programming phase through completion of bidding documents. Provides on-site construction supervision.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Communicates with Hospital's Departments at various levels to discussant identify needs and requirements.
  • Prepares functional and spatial programs for Hospital renovation and new construction projects.
  • Prepares schematic, colored presentation, preliminary and working drawings using computer software.
  • Edits master specifications into a project specific set of specifications.
  • Coordinates design work with all other engineering disciplines and concerned Hospital's Departments as needed.
  • Contributes to the engineering/architecture design studies for the Hospital upgrade and facility master Lannin.
  • Prepares project request evaluation, technical reports and cost estimates.
  • Prepares technical specifications for Bill of Quantities and review biddocuments.
  • Supervises onsite construction for compliance with the contract'stechnical specifications.
  • Reviews, recommends modifications and approval of contractors'submittals, shop drawings, samples and substitutions.
  • Performs progress monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
  • Prepares periodic project status update reports.

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's Degree inArchitect or other related discipline is required.


Experience Required:

Five (5) years of related experience with Master's or seven (7) yearswith Bachelor's Degree is required.


Other Requirements(Certificates):

Knowledgeable in Us codes and standards including NFPA,ASME, UL and ASHRAE. Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/orMicrosoft Projects and engineering calculation software.

Proven record in thedesign, specifications and construction of mechanical systems for new andexisting buildings in a large health care facility setting.

Fluent in oral and written English.

Non-Saudi Engineers must obtain minimum offive (5) years of related experience.

Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
