    ScopeofWorks:

    A full range ofbusiness analysis tasks including requirements planning andmanagement; requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation;and capturing existing business processes and proposed changes forthe implementation of a custom application in a complex businessenvironment.

    Deliverables:

    The resourceswill consult, collaborate and coordinate with business subjectmatter experts and stakeholders on the design and implementation ofappropriate solutions to assess and validate requirements tosupport businessprocesses.


    KeyDuties andResponsibilities:

    • Facilitateworkshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders toelicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements,and management of requirementstraceability.
    • Conductwalkthroughs to validate and obtain approval of business analysisoutputs.
    • Providebusiness analysis support relevant to provision of requirementssupport and clarification throughout a full project development orimplementationlifecycle.
    • Undertakeand support testing activities including preparing and executingtest plans andcases.
    • Applyingbusiness analysis techniques and tools to document requirements,objectives, outcomes, processes, procedures, work instructions andworkflows.
    • Deliveringproject documentation in alignment with EPS project managementframeworks, on time, to expected quality standards as per scope andas agreed with the ProjectManager.
    • Managingsensitive information and maintaining records in line withinformation managementpolicies.

    Overviewof the project & work unit the position is relatedto:

    SAGEprovides agencies with a single, consolidated budget managementsolution that enables timely whole of government reporting, reducesfinancial governance risk and delivers efficiencies through the useof a consistent and centralised system without reducing existingfunctionality.

    The BusinessAnalyst will be responsible for a full range of business analysistasks including requirements planning and management; requirementselicitation, analysis and documentation; and capturing existingbusiness processes and proposed changes, for the implementation ofa custom application in a complex businessenvironment.

    The Sage projectis well underway and requires a Business Analyst that can hit theground running. A Business Analyst that can quickly get up to speedwith the project or EPS internal processes and understand thedeliverables to Go Live. The Business Analyst will be required toassist the Project Manager in getting the relevant artefactsdeveloped for sign off as part of the Transition to BAU plan,including completion of User Guides or artefacts deemed necessaryfor transition. There are times when the role will require the BAto be adaptable because it is a small team, support to the team andfrom the team is integral to working within the constraints. Thisproject requires a BA that has experience in being able to usetheir experience, knowledge and skills but also be pragmatic intheir approach.

    Location ofwork

    Thesuitable resource will be required to perform the services inDarwin as required by the projects activities. It is a requirementtherefore that the suitable Services Personnel will be Darwin basedfor the duration of thisengagement.

    EssentialSkills andExperience:

    • Extensiveskills and experience as a Business Analyst, including experiencein requirements gathering, business process analysis/modelling andinformation analysis/modelling, planning, design, testing andsystem integration, using industry standard techniques in a complexbusinessenvironment.
    • Experiencemapping business requirements and processes to the functionality ofa product whilst identifying gaps andopportunities.
    • Experiencein managing information requirements in line with approved recordkeeping and information management policies, and includingtraceability of businessrequirements.
    • Highlevel analytical skills and organisational skills with goodattention to detail and ability to think laterally andconceptually.
    • Highlyeffective client liaison, change management and facilitationskills.
    • Demonstratedexperience working in a collaborative environment with highperforming teams with high priority deliverables under tighttimeframes, and balancing competingpriorities.
    • Experiencein end to end delivery of major businesssystems.
    • Highlyskilled in the use of Microsoft Visio and the usual office toolssuch as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook(e-mail), proficient in the use of JIRA and SharePoint or abilityto quicklyacquire.
    • Experienceidentifying and analysing complex legislative and / or regulatoryrequirements applicable to an environment orprocess.
