    The primaryduty of the Recreational Counselor is to teach students accordingto the established recreational program of LeafSpring School.Oversees planned activities, curriculum, materials, management, andgeneral supervision of an assigned group. Responsible for assistingin the daily supervision and management of a group of ten tofifteen children between the ages of five and thirteen.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assists with the daily recreationprogram's planning, implementation, and supervision inaccordance with the philosophy LeafSpring School.
    • Assists in directing the activities of RecreationalAssistants, Recreational Aides, and volunteers, providing guidanceas needed.
    • In the absence of theAdministrator, assumes the supervisory role as requested, ensuringthat all aspects of the program function as per LeafSpring Schoolbrand policies.
    • Incorporates age-appropriatechild growth and development principles and developmentallyappropriate practice in implementing daily activityplans.
    • Assists in evaluating the quality ofprogram components as assigned and executes plans for improvementas needed.
    • Appropriately modifies activitiesto meet the needs of each child's interests, challenges,special talents, individual style, and pace of learning.
    • Maintains awareness of each child's healthstatus.
    • Demonstrates correct principles ofinfection control, universal precautions, and OSHA.
    • Maint a safe, orderly, attractive, and clean learningenvironment.
    • Encourages and demonstrates soundhealth and nutritional practices.
    • Assists inplanning, developing and implementing recreationally based anddevelopmentally appropriate field trips and in-house experiences,as requested.
    • Assists with the planning,implementing and achieving program goals.
    • Maintains compliance with regulatory, accreditation, andLeafSpring School brand policies.
    Requirements:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least one (1) year of experience
    • Must possess a love for children and an ability to relatewell with them, their families, and teachers.
    • Must have technology competency as it relates to theresponsibilities of the position.
    • Must be CPRand First Aid certified or obtain certification within six monthsof employment
    • Must be able to lift a minimumof up to 50 lbs.
    PayScale:

    $15.00-$18.00 perhour

    WorkingHours:

    1:30p-6:00p
