Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team In this role you will get to
work on one of the fastest growing projects in the Kingdom.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads the planning and initial site setup and production of the sustainability and environmental plans, integrated with the wider engineering and logistics plans to give a citywide approach.
  • Develops standard operating procedures for sustainability and environment of the program and ensures that Contractors follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.
  • Coordinates with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
  • Plans and implement sustainability and environmental strategies and approaches in accordance with Qiddiya Sustainability and Environmental City Framework and Guidelines.
  • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, leading in the fields of Environment and Sustainability.
  • Leads on unusually complex sustainability and environmental problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with site and engineering leads.
  • Facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.
  • Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counseling, and takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepares needed regular reports, plans, and work method statements.
  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline with minimum 10 years' experience in construction projects, specifically management experience across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiar with different environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA/EIA), including facets such as: flora, fauna, soil, terrestrial ecology, biodiversity, water, waste, noise and vibration, air quality,etc.
  • Wellexposed to national regulations and environmental permitting procedures set up by NCEC, MWAN, MEWA, and NCVC.
  • Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.
  • Certified as CEnv, LEED, BREEAM, Mostadam, MIEMA, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:


  • Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.
  • Proven experience working within complex construction environments.
  • Ability to follow through and clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with seniorlevel management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, coworkers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong Contractor Management skills
