Job Description:


  • Administer one or more projects, to include final responsibility for adherence with governance, scope budget, schedule and quality requirements in the contract documents and established procedures. Responsible for oversight of all planning, design, procurement, construction, ORAT, commissioning, and closeout activities for each assigned project.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise the project team, which may consist of one or more Project Managers, Design Managers, Construction Managers, Project and/or Construction Coordinators and other support staff as necessary. Mentor and develop project team members to grow and move in to positions of increased responsibility.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial, Project Controls, Design and other functional teams to ensure adequate communication and alignment of resources needed to meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Ensure the effective and timely communication and coordination of all project activities and information with airport tenants, airline(s), client departments, governmental and other agencies.
  • Proactively manage risk and resolve issues to minimize client exposure.
  • Proactively work to avoid claims and resolve claims expeditiously to minimize client exposure.
  • Communicate with, and prepare and provide regular status reports to, client and senior leadership which detail the progress, accomplishments, risks, issues and current status of each assigned project.
  • Upon recommendation from Design Manager(s), Project Manager(s), and/or Construction Manager(s), as applicable, approve progress payments to planning and design consultants and construction contractors.
  • Lead the proposed settlement of change orders, claims and revisions to the planning, design and/or construction scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist in the development of RFQ's and RFP's and provide support during the procurement process.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for changes and/or modifications to the scope of services for planning/design consultants and/or construction contractors.
  • Lead the negotiation of planning, design and construction phase services, consultant fees and change orders, provide documentation, and recommend acceptance.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in managing projects of similar size, type, and complexity, with at least ten (10) of those years in aviation preferred but not required.
  • Professional certification in Project or Program Management preferred but not required.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in managing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, design, procurement, construction, ORAT, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Must be able to pass applicable background check(s) and obtain permit(s) to access secure areas of an airport.
  • Strong leadership, problemsolving and collaboration skill
