Assumes the responsibility for the coordination and integration of all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improves the capability to mitigate against, prepares for, respond to, and recovers from internal and/or external disasters.

Provides disaster preparedness training, and develops, implements, administers, evaluates, and maintains the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the Hospital's.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Oversees the implementation, administration, maintenance and evaluation of the Hospital's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).

  • Coordinates, reviews, and edits departmental disaster Sub-Plans prior to adoption. Ensures departmental Sub-Plans are cohesive, comprehensive and compatible with the EOP.
  • Coordinates the organization and management of a comprehensive disaster preparedness training program, which includes Seminars, Workshops, Tabletops, Games, Drills, Functional Exercise and one (1) Full-Scale Exercise annually.
  • Participates actively in accreditations requirements preparations and survey visits, including Joint Commission International (JCI) and the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP).
  • Maintains databases and documents related to the assigned Disaster function.
  • Participates actively in committees and taskforces as assigned.
  • Conducts educational sessions relating to Emergency Management Disaster Program, including Emergency Evacuation and CBRN decontamination and other related education as assigned.

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in, Emergency/Disaster Management, or other related discipline is required.


Experience Required:

Three (3) years of related experience with a Master's, or five (5) years with Bachelor's Degree is required.


Other Requirements(Certificates):


  • Saudi National Only
  • Emergency/Disaster Management, or related certifications, such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Associate Emergency Manager (AEM), are preferred.
