You as a Linux System Administrator will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. General IT Infrastructure Systems Administration work focuses on installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware for multi-user server computers and personal computing devices including meeting end user needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the computers managed within established budgets and operational guidelines. Acquiring, installing, and upgrading computer components and software and planning to respond to service outages and other problems. Automating routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement Establishes and implements strategies that have mid to long-term impact on business results in alignment with parent and independent organization objectives. Leading multiple teams of lower-level executives, directors, senior managers, and managers. Developing mid to long-term plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area.

Your responsibilities

  • IS Technology: On assignment identifying, proposing advising, and implementing existing IS infrastructure technology in the context of IS solutions and services, sharing knowledge and depending on seniority that guiding others on implementation and operation, using understanding of existing IS infrastructure technology and business requirements.
  • IS Solutions: On assignment is involved in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IS solutions and services in regards of infrastructure knowledge.
  • IS Service: As requesting gives advising and supporting the installation of new IS solutions and services in regards of the required infrastructure, or the changing of existing IS solutions and services. When involved, delivers the appropriate IS solution and service infrastructure according to agreed Service Level Agreements, in time, in budget and at quality.
  • Processes: Proactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and crossfunctional processes related to IS solutions and services infrastructure requirements.
  • Governance: For assigning tasks, executing all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACIS specification.
  • EA & Strategy: Is consulting and giving advice to ensure others comply with Hitachi Energy IS Enterprise Architecture.
  • People leadership and development: Providing leadership to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice normally without carrying line responsibility.

Your background

  • A bachelor's degree in IT or relevant field is required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
