Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Supports the Development Specialist by gathering functional and technical requirements.
Supports the Development Specialist by performing unit, functional, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure that that the solution meets requirements and IT standards.
Creates test transactions and run tests to find errors and to confirm programs meet specifications.
Works closely with the Informatics Systems Operations, Technical Support, and End-User Training Departments to draft procedural manuals and training material.
Advises and participate in the training of trainers in his/her area of expertise.
Supports the Development Specialist by providing Level 3 maintenance and support for events escalated by the Informatics Systems Operations, Technical Support, or End-User Training Departments.
Provides problem management support as part of the problem management process.
Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.
Participates in self & others' education, training and development, as applicable.
Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.

Experience Required:

Three (3) years of related experience with Master's Degree, or five (5) years of related experience with Bachelor's Degree is required.
