Lighting Designer


Overview:


As a Lighting Designer, your main responsibility will be to create innovative and visually appealing lighting designs for various projects, including architectural spaces, and other installations.

You will combine your technical knowledge of lighting techniques, artistic vision, and understanding of the project's requirements to design lighting schemes that enhance the ambiance, functionality, and aesthetics of the space.

Working collaboratively with clients, architects, interior designers, and production teams, you will bring illumination concepts to life through strategic placement of lighting fixtures, control systems, and creative use of light.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture,, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Lighting Designer, preferably working on a range of projects.
  • Proficiency in lighting design software, computeraided design (CAD), and visualization tools.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting techniques, fixtures, control systems, and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of architectural spaces, interior design principles.
  • Creativity and artistic vision in designing lighting concepts that enhance the ambiance and aesthetics of the space.
  • Technical skills to analyze and calculate lighting requirements, including illuminance levels and energy efficiency.
  • Knowledge of lighting regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, architects, designers, and production teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics in lighting design.
  • A Driver's Licence.
