This position will, in consultation with the Managing Director Middle East and Business Development Director, develop deep relationships and influence policy in Middle East markets in order to facilitate the deployment of Lucid's best-in-class electric vehicles.


  • You Will:
  • Act as main point of contact for KSA ministries and other Middle East governments' stakeholders (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, etc.)
  • Act as early warning system to Head of Global Policy and Lucid executive team for beneficial or potentially difficult regulations coming out of KSA/ME countries
  • Develop policy materials, reports and products (internal
- and external-facing)

  • Work with Head of Global Policy, Managing Director ME and Business Development Director, sales, marketing, supply chain/logistics and product teams to execute political and regulatory strategy, including on issues such as manufacturing policy, data policy, sales and service, safety, automated driving, etc. benefitting Lucid's business in ME
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with foreign diplomatic corps in Riyadh and other ME capitals
  • Lead Lucid engagement in relevant KSA/ME automotive and climatefocused associations, NGOs, and greater industry community/business partners
  • Work in coalitions within the sustainable transportation, energy, and transportation industry communities in ME to increase momentum behind policy proposals that are conducive to Lucid's business and the adoption of EVs
  • You Bring:
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, and other advocacy roles
  • Familiarity with relevant KSA and ME government/regulatory frameworks, personalities, policies, and laws relevant to Lucid's business, including electric vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, international trade issues, data privacy, cybersecurity, automotive safety, traditional infrastructure, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively, efficiently, prioritize workflow and meet demanding deadlines
