Role Purpose
We are looking for an Environmental Specialist for a major project based in Riyadh, KSA.

What this job involves

Supporting the wider supervision team in reviewing submissions by others and ensure that the Client's sustainability requirements and environmental aspects on the site follow the Kingdom's regulations.

Writing reports associated with progress and site audit compliance associated both with environmental and sustainability/material compliance aspects.

Adding in the conducting material approvals for sustainability, on-site audits and guiding the supervision teams against sustainability and environmental compliance requirements.

Assisting in conducting audits for environmental and sustainability compliance on-site, taking into consideration, understanding of the implementation of green certification systems, sustainable site operations, and client-specific environmental standards and policies.

Preparing an environmental report on sites of non-compliance and support site teams on complying with remediation actions, if any.
Involving in site environment auditing, reporting, trainings, environment observation tour and provision of reports to the Client.
Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
Assessing, analyzing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff and clients etc.
Acting as a champion for environmental issue within organization.
Keeping up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives based on KSA regulations and International Standards.
Setting the sustainability targets and work towards achieving the same.
Setting the target for reuse, recycling and reduce.
Maintain up to date documentation such as Air, water monitoring, waste, hazardous waste, audit report, environment training record etc.
Educate workers on environmental programs and policies.
Investigate and prepare the environmental incident report and develop action plan.
Setup and implement procedure for hazardous and solid waste at site and maintain the record.
Formulation / Implementation and administration of the environment procedures, coordinate with client for the environmental matters.
Conduct training and awareness on environmental among the workers.

Desired skills and experience for this

To be successful in this opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include relevant experience partnered with a BSc/BEng/BTech on Environmental or BSc/BEng/BTech in Construction, or Sustainability.

Knowledge of using Microsoft Projects such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Project.
Certified under LEED AP or equivalent is desirable.
