Site EHS Engineer position to Join our Team Makkah Masshaar Metro Project.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Implement the optimum EHS organizational model for the country, along with implementing safety working practices in the project
  • Ensure the project compliance with Siemens EHS requirements as well as costumer and legal requirements.
  • Ensure that all contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers comply with the project EHS requirements, and all their safety officers are qualified for the job.
  • Prepare, update, and implement project EHS management plan, project fire safety plan and project environmental management plan.
  • Review method statements and prepare risk assessments for all activities.
  • Implement permissions to work system and ensure its effectiveness.
  • Prepare project EHS reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
  • Conduct daily site EHS inspection and ensuring that incidents are properly investigated and reported as per Siemens incident reporting procedure.
  • Provide First Aid and basic life support and exhibiting a safety conscious attitude to promote EHS culture among the work force.
  • Ensure that all project team members are aware of their EHS roles and responsibilities, along with implementing incentive and enforcement EHS programs.
  • Prepare EHS Induction training and toolbox talks for all site personnel.
  • Participate in project meetings with customer as project core team member.
  • Depute at the project site office in Makkah.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Required to have NEBOSH or OSHA qualification certificate.
  • Minimum 57 years' experience in EHS field specifically in railway industries
  • Registered in Saudi Occupational safety and health (Kawader)
  • Knowledge of the global EHS laws and standards
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management system
  • Knowledge of Internal control systems (audit/assessment, RIC, risk management)
  • Strong communication skills and command over English language.
