Metso Saudi Arabia are looking for Safety Engineer at it's project in Saudi Arabia, position requires strong experience in mining industry.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as a leader and expert of Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety of greenfield site
Ensure QEHS programs are implemented effectively and in compliance to legal requirements and company standards
Develop and implement safety strategies to achieve short
- and long-term company objectives
Prepare and perform internal audits, incident investigations as well as impact, hazard, and risks assessments
Develop the QEHS activities of site operation of continuously operating plant in close cooperation with QEHS organisation
Responsible for maintenance and further enhancement of QEHS Management System according to the latest standards/requirement
Liaise with all relevant authorities, contractors, certification bodies on matters related to QEHS management systems
Propose, coordinate, and implement environmental social activities
Preparation of QE reports and HS reports and present them to Site Manager and Metso QEHS organization
Other duties as directed by line manager and Metso QEHS organisation

Requirements and skills

Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
Proven experience as safety supervisor or similar role
Strong technical knowledge of mining/minerals processing/heavy industrial Plants
Able to plan, organize, supervise safety practices and provide hands on training at field
Planning and leadership abilities
Good Problem-solving abilities
Computer knowledge to prepare schedules and reports
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Professional Certifications
