Overview

The raw sugar silo Operator is responsible for all aspects of loading, moving, and handling products within an industrial silo facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete shipping manifest with all pertinent information about the vessel cargo(amounts being transported, batch number,location in the silo).
  • Learn, follow and promote all safety regulations of the Durrah compliance
  • Communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations and other situations that may require an immediate response.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
  • Provide a continuous feed to the refinery in accordance with production department team.
  • Demonstrate informative and professional assistance when working with managers or coworkers.
  • Acts independently and originates new procedures and new approaches to repetitive problems.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain initiative to preserve the flow of work.
  • Work under stress and with commitment to deadlines.
  • Sustain interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of Durrah.
  • Complete reports in accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain Company information in a confidential manner.
  • Wear Company provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times

Requirements:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic mechanic and electricity skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as Silo Operator
