    ScopeofWorks

    Theresource will be accountable for ensuring the successful managementand delivery of high value, highly complex business systemsprojects focussing on solution design, delivery andimplementation.

    This will require consultation and coordination with allstakeholders and subject matter experts to implement businessrequirements and priorities to deliver solutions which achieveagreed businessoutcomes.


    Overviewof the project & work unit the position is related to

    TheNorthern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES)records and administers firearm licensing and registrations relatedtransactions, through the Shooter and Firearm Easy RegistrationSystem(SaFER).

    Theexisting SaFER system will be replaced with a new bespoke andcontemporary system,Tracer.

    Requirements

    EssentialSkills andExperience

    • 8 to 10 years of experience in named project management roles,particularly in business systemsprojects.
    • Highlevel project management skills, knowledge and experience inproject management methodologies, techniques and frameworks, withemphasis on strong project planning and control, risk and issuemanagement
    • Highlevel leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and theability to take a lead role across business, vendor and projectstakeholders.
    • Demonstratedtrack record in providing leadership in matters of governance andprobity, strategic and business planning, resolving complex risksand issues and the successful delivery of agreed businesspriorities andobjectives.
    • Excellentliaison skills in particular the ability to negotiate with peopleacross business areas, functions and the organisation with a focuson achieving high qualityoutcomes.
    • Provenability to effectively support change management to integrate newICT capabilities with organisational transformationneeds.
    • Experienceidentifying and analysing complex legislative and/or regulatoryrequirements applicable to the relevant industry/work environmentand theirprocesses.


    DesirableSkills andExperience

    • Experienceworking on projects in the policingsector.
    • Experiencein technical concepts including system analysis, design,integration and associatedinterfaces.
    • Demonstratedunderstanding of IT Service Managementframework.
    • Experienceworking in a governmentenvironment.
