I take this opportunity to introduce myself as Dr. Mohammad Daud Ali. I have been working as a lecturer in pharmacy practice at the Department of Pharmacy, Mohammed Al-Mana College for Medical Sciences (MACHS), Saudi Arabia, since September 2015. I did my Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacy Practice from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur, India. My master's research was on “A prospective cohort study to assess the efficacy, safety, and toxicity of Gemcitabine - Cisplatin in comparison to 5-Fluorouracil-Cisplatin used in the treatment of gallbladder Cancer”. My PhD research was “Investigation of the Molecular Basis of Mechanism of Actions as Anti-Inflammatory Analgesic and Antipyretic Activity of Three Selected Plants Used in Indian Traditional Medicine System in Comparison with Indomethacin”. I have nearly nine years of academic experience, 3.5 years of experience from clinical research organizations in pharmacovigilance and Pharmacy Practice, and two years as a clinical pharmacist and Pharmacist. I have completed eighteen graduation research projects as a principal investigator and five research projects as a Co-PI. I also supervised two Master of Pharmacy Practice students as Co-PI and both completed master’s in pharmacy practice. My thrust areas of research are Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacoepidemiology, Evidence-based medicine (EBM) practice, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), AI patient centricity, HTA, Drug Utilization and Prescription Event Monitoring, Clinical research, Drug adherence, promotion of rational drug use in the community as well as in hospital services. My multidisciplinary research approach has allowed me to develop pharmaceutical services in my current organization and hospital services and give orientation and the right track to our future pharmacists, given to research and academics. I have published more than 64 research papers in international and National journals with high-impact factors. I also published two research papers with a single author. I am a reviewer of more than 30 international journals and supervised the research of more than 70 pharmacy students at levels of Bachelor and supervised Internship pharmacy students in Hospital and Drug information rotations. I have been a member of the Central Scientific Research Committee, IRB Committee, and Examination Committee since 2018. I am a certified member of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), KSA for Ethics of Research on Living Creatures. Currently, I am also a department examination committee chair. I am also a member of the research and innovation committee for the Accreditation unit (NCAAA) of the college. They actively participated as a member in different standards and substandard of NCAAA for accreditation of colleges and programs. Proactive IRB member for approval of research proposal within MACHS. Actively involved in formulating different policies for the research and IRB committee at MACHS, as well as continuously participated in research and IRB meetings to approve various research proposals at MACHS. I am well-versed in teaching international students and guiding their research projects. I am also a certified consultant general pharmaceutical practitioner in general medicine, a speciality in pharmacy. I also actively participate in student’s hospital ward rotations and clinical placement engagements. I see this opportunity as the ideal way to broaden my scientific and clinical knowledge. I am sure that I can productively contribute to your organization. In 2023, under my name, three patents were published in an Indian patent journal.
