- Analyze localmarket trends and competitor activity to identify new businessleads
- Develop customer accounts and travelwithin the local area to drive business into the specifichotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenuestreams
- Negotiate room rates/packages withcorporate clients
- Develop and implementcreative local marketing channels including social mediachannels
- Prepare company contracts for thehotel in accordance with current business and pricingconditions
- Work within current businessstrategies and recognizing potentialopportunities
- Cooperate with other departmentsin the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and buildstrong comprehensive sales programs
- AttendSales events as required
- Produce accurate andtimely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and seniormanagement to include the reporting of appointments calls made andbusiness leads
- Answer customer queries in aprompt and professional manner
- Positiveattitude and good communicationskills
- Commitment to delivering a high level ofcustomer service
- Excellent groomingstandards
- Flexibility to respond to a range ofdifferent work situations
- Ability to work underpressure and under own initiative
- Experience ina sales role with a proven track record to close asale
