Job Summary

• Lead and Oversee operations and maintenance of FTTx Network Operations (including FTTx Core, Multi-Play Services, NOC and regional field fibre infrastructure ) to ensure maintaining constant availability, optimal functionality and performance of Mobily's FTTX
• Ensure the optimal managing of the day-to-day operations for FTTX integrated Services ensuring that operational processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures, employees are motivated, understand what is expected of them and perform according to the designated standards.

• Lead and oversee the development and implementation of FTTx operation and maintenance standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Recommend tools and resources developments to improve operation excellence and quality standards of FTTx operations and meet Mobily quality objectives and global in coordination with the Technology Assurance and Performance Management team.
• Work with different parties internally and externally to develop an evaluation framework to assess the weakness of the FTTx network and identify areas for improvement and manage action plans regarding risk identified, if any.
• Work directly with the Transport Design and Engineering teams to ensure the quality of FTTx implementation during FTTx project acceptance/handover in line with Mobily's standards.
• Ensure effective monitoring and supervision of Mobily's FTTx network operations and maintenance managed services providers and vendors and manage the execution of penalties for SLA/KPI violations.
• Participate in analysing network statistics providing technical guidance in troubleshooting activities ensuring quick service restoration and proper mesh network rerouting to reduce the traffic impact.
• Recommend major changes and enhancements to Mobily's FTTx network infrastructure such as software and hardware upgrades and planned outage requests that affect the live network operations.
• Ensure a proper coordination with Operations Acceptance to manage software versions, upgrades, compatibility, and maintenance and help ensure proper adherence to procedures and compliance to change management and configuration management units' guidelines.
• Lead and facilitate the smooth rollout and acceptance of FTTx network infrastructure and coordinate with other related Technology Operations units to ensure proper testing, handover, configuration and knowledge management and quality assurance.
• Lead and Oversee the implementation of effective fault management activities (including testing, diagnosing, repairing the network when faults occur) on Mobily's FTTx network.
• Work directly with the FTTH commercial and partners and ensure the optimal FTTX ports readiness and handover/acceptance and ensure timely reporting of FTTX assets readiness to the assets management.
• Lead and manage the daily work order customers activation in related to service patching, configuration, system activation and service disconnection.
• Lead and build professional relationships with FTTx network operations managed services providers and vendors to help ensure continuous support is provided and delivery on agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
• Ensure management support in the preparation of O&M budgets for Mobily's FTTx operations and maintenance and coordinate with the Technology Operations Support (Budgeting & Compliance team) to ensure effective and accurate monitoring and control of the same.
• Report to management with regards to anticipated costs/revenues, areas of any unsatisfactory performance and potential performance improvement opportunities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to FTTx operations as designated by the line manager.

Education

• Provide direction and advice to the direct reports in performing their delegated responsibilities.
• Ensure the ongoing development of the department's employees, and assure the developmental activities of direct reports.
• Oversee the overall performance of direct reports and ensure KPI's are well communicated and monitored.
• Ensure effective identification, allocation and utilization of the division's resources.
