    JobSummary

    Experts at this level are responsiblefor advising on procurement of materials and services for thevarious operations of STC negotiating rates advising on contractualprocedures and ensuring compliance. They are also responsible foradvising on capacity growth and tracking supplier markettrends.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Act as a procurementsubject matter expert in consulting with the business to identifydevelop and deploy best practice procurement category managementand supplier management.
    • Advise on sourcingstrategy development and agenda setting with sectors and sourcingstakeholders.
    • Advise on compiling and analyzingstatistical data to determine feasibility of buying services and toestablish price objectives.
    • Advise on allprocurement activities related to technical projects (Core AccessInfrastructure OSP and Technical Solutions) andnontechnical/commercial projects (Marketing Materials andFacilities).
    • Advise on identifying potentialprocurement synergies with other subsidiaries and manages theirimplementation.
    • Advise on develop purchasingrequirements and project specifications with sector management andsuppliers.
    • Track supply market trends(competitive pressures new entrants substituting products orservices changes in the value chain).
    • Advise onprice trends conferring with suppliers to determine factors thataffect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with qualityreliability and ability to meet requiredschedules.
    • Advise on preparing RFPs reviewingproposals negotiating prices selecting or recommending suppliersanalyzing trends developing cost estimates follow up on ordersplaced and maintaining necessaryrecords.
    • Identify and implement strategicservice agreements where possible to achieveefficiencies.
    • Advise on preparation of bidpackages for Customer proposals.
    • Advise onleveraging all beneficial contractual terms to maximize impact andreturn.
    • Support in managing SLAs forTendered/NonTendered Change Orders as well as Change Orders for thesupplier market and spendcategories.

    GenericRole

    • Provide guidance to relevantstakeholders regarding appropriate processes andopportunities.
    • Advise on building relationshipswith suppliers to increase benefits for STC such as timely deliveryand lower prices for goods and services.
    • Adviseon building and maintaining database of vendors and partner forontime utilization purpose.
    • Identify businessrequirements and forecasts capacity growth for STC andlocal/regional market demand.
    • Provide advicefor alignment of the Sectors long term and shortterm strategy withinternal business priorities and market bestpractice.
    • Contribute to developing segmentationcriteria and mapping supply base to desired relationshiptype.
    • Advise on optimizing supplier costsdesigned to improve efficiencies control costs and drive synergieswithin the Sector.
    • Analyse reports and metricsto identify potential issues and undertakes preventive measures tomitigate relevant operational and businessrisks.
    • Advise on developing business casesincluding need for crossfunctional resources time frame andtargets.

    Qualifications/Certification

    • BachelorsDegree in Business Administration/Engineering or relateddiscipline.
    • Masters Degree in BusinessAdministration/Engineering ispreferred.
    • Professional certificate inprocurement or relateddiscipline.

    RequiredExperience

    • 6 8 years of experience inProcurement Contract and Negotiation attechnology/telecommunicationindustry.
