AdvancedHires is currently seeking aqualifiedTestValidation and ComplianceManagerforone of our clients who is located 20 miles northwest ofMilwaukee.

TheTestValidation and ComplianceManagerwillsupervise a technical department consisting of degreed engineersand engineering technicians. Must effectively interface with a teamin a global development environment. Have the ability toobjectively integrate engineering theory into everyday practice.Must be able to develop resource staffing plans, manage capital andexpense budgets, interface with Design Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering, Shop Floor and Service/Trainingdepartments.

Thecandidate must be knowledgeable in a variety of compliance areas,such as machinery regulations, intellectual property and productliability. Must be able to interface with outside resources tomanage intellectual property, engine exhaust emissions, productliability investigations and productsafety.

80%Management of R&D Test Lab:

• Workingwith Design Engineering to develop product testing plans andtimelines for the building of proof of concept (POC) and prototypemachines. Testing will consist of bench, complete machines andfield. In addition, support zero series machines with final shakedown and external compliance testing.
  
• IntegrateFEA analysis with testing in the lab to make sureanalysis/simulation is accurate with actual test loadingconditions.
  
• Developtest procedures and refining of test practices for consistentmethodologies.
  
• Assistshop floor with assembly line issues and trouble shoot machineperformance issues as needed. Electrical, Mechanical and Software.
  
• Workwith Service on warranty concerns or customer complaints.
  
• SupportProduct Management with Customer demo s, machine and site setup andtransportation ofmachines.
  
  

20%Compliance:

• Responsiblefor coordinating various internal departments for product liabilityissue as they arise. Interface with outside resources to developplan for productinvestigations,providing internal documents and general information about subjectmachines.
  
• Responsiblefor interaction with outside certification services for organizingand performing factory audits. NATM, CSA, Intertek
  
• Coordinatingwith outside test resources for product certification
  
• Prepareand document various quarterly and annual reports for governmentagencies. DOT, CSA, EPA and CARB
  
• Workwith Corporate Legal Office and outside Counsel on IntellectualProperty. Submitting new applications, providing support in IPmaintenance decisions and IPinvestigations.
  

GeneralWorking Requirements

• Abilityto read and understand mechanical drawings and electricalschematics
  
• Basicunderstanding of machine fabrication and construction techniques,bending of metal, welding, drilling, milling, tapping and grinding
  
• Basicunderstanding of hydraulics.
  
• Understandbasic lab safety, identify improvement opportunities and maintainthe lab in good working order.
  
• Abilityto work with a diverse group of people internally and externally tothe department. Coordinate efforts with other global facilities ontest & validation or compliance subjects.
  
• Understandingof government regulations focused on machine safety, machineperformance and reportingresponsibilities.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)required. Masters Degree in Engineering, Math or Businesspreferred.
  
• Proficientin Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  
• Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills.
