    Our client is a global engineering procurement and constructionfirm specializing in the mining power generation petrochemicalprocessing infrastructure and commercial industries.
    Thecompany plans to recruit a Chief TechnologyOfficer (CTO) for their Saudi subsidiary whowill oversee companys technology infrastructure and informationsystems.
    KeyResponsibilities:
    Therecruited candidate will be responsible for the following:
    • Manage technical teamsconsisting of existing IT infrastructure Applications and the newsoftware development.
    • Develop IT policies andprocedures and prepare Technology master plan
    • IT strategic Planning Business Process Reengineering (BPR) andoverall Program Management
    Developshort and longterm technology objectives in line with the long termstrategic objectives of the company
    • Continuity/DisasterRecovery planning to support critical functionality duringcrisis.
    • Establish a user service and supportprocess with particular responsibility for webbased services thatimplement the support function.
    • Review andcritically evaluate technology needs and project feasibility basedon managements requirements priorities and costconstraints.
    • Identify important technologytrends and industry best practices and formulate a strategy toeffectively leverage them
    • Communicate companystechnology strategy to the company management staff partners andstakeholders
    • Define the companys softwaredevelopment and implementation methodologies
    • Establish a robust conformance and testing strategy for thedevelopment/delivery team
    • Formulate anenterprisewide information security plan that protects theconfidentiality integrity and availability of the companys data andservers
    • Select and manage relationships withexternal vendors / agencies for hardware software applicationsoutsourced development data center etc. to ensure the best servicedelivery and cost
    • Participate in the overallstrategic planning process as a member of the senior managementteam.

    Key Requirements
    • ABachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related technicaldiscipline
    • 20 yrs experience in technologywith at least 5 yrs in a similar role with a reputedcompany
    • Should have strong leadershipexperience and solid communication skills.
    • Must have a solid software development and management backgroundand is abreast with the latest technology advancements and bestpractices
    • Exceptionally good teamleader/player with very effective communicationskills
    • Demonstrated ability to envision largetransactional platforms and business
    • Expertisein Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and experience building andscaling Enterprise business on SaaS models
    • Good understanding of Open Source technologies such as LAMP andJava
    • Familiarity with latest development toolsplatforms and development and implementationmethodologies
    • Experience with CloudComputing
    • Understanding of informationsecurity standards system vulnerabilities and risk managementpractices
    • Exposure to business processreengineering governance management budgeting and administrativeprocesses and best practices
    • Experiencedealing with external vendors / agencies for outsourceddevelopment
