    We are looking for a PL/SQLData Engineer / Data Warehouse Consultant to work with the EuropeanCommission inBrussels

    TheEuropean Commission is the executive of the European Union. Itoperates as a cabinet government, with 27 members of the Commissionheaded by a President. It includes an administrative body of about32,000 European civilservants.

    DESCRIPTIONOF THETASKS:
    • Architecture,design and implementation of the integration layer betweenbackend
    • systemsand secure messagingsoftware
    • Provideexpert advice on confidentiality, integrity, authorization,authentication, non-repudiation,availability
    • Assistthe team to test and conduct periodic vulnerability and securityrisk assessments of the messaging and data transfersystem
    • Providecomprehensive guidance and consulting for the optimization of theintegrationlayer
    • Participateto the maintenance of technical specifications related to transportand messaging protocols and their implementation insoftware
    • Testingapplications against Business requirement andspecifications
    • Identificationof bugs using exploratorytesting


    Requirements

    LEVELOF EDUCATION
    • Bachelorand master s degree on relevant field ofinterest
    KNOWLEDGEAND SKILLS
    Following skills andknowledge are required for the performance of the above listedtasks:
    • Goodknowledge of the legal framework for the use of trust services: theElectronic Identification and Trust Services Regulation (eIDASRegulation910/2014/EC)
    • Goodknowledge of open standards for service discovery: BusinessDocumentMetadata
    • ServiceLocation (BDXL), Service Metadata Publishing (SMP)Good knowledge oftestingtools:
    • SonarQube,Selenium WebDriver, Serenity, TestLink,JMeter
    • Goodknowledge of message format standards: XML, XSD, XPATH, WSDL, JSON,JSONschema
    • Goodknowledge of the Java platform: garbage collection strategies,memory spaces, class loaders, serialization, multi-threading,syntax and semantics of the Java language, APIs of the JavaDevelopmentKit
    • Goodknowledge of databases, directories and transactions: SQL, LDAP,ACID,XA
    • Goodknowledge of operations including networking, hardware andoperating systems: TCP/IP, Linux, databases, directories, shellscripts, virtualisation, load balancers, reverse proxies, webapplication firewalls, HSM,TPM

    SPECIFICEXPERTISE:
    Followingspecific expertise is mandatory for the performance oftasks:
    • Atleast 10 years of experience with PL/SQL (min. competence level5)
    • SAML andOIDC experience, Authentication and Authorization, Cryptography,Web
    • Security- min. competence level5
    CERTIFICATIONS& STANDARDS:
    Following certificates& standards are required for the performance oftasks:
    • OracleDatabase: SQL CertifiedExpert
    • OraclePL/SQL Developer CertifiedAssociate


    Benefits

    • Location:Hybrid, needs to be located inBrussels
    • Dailyrate: for 3 years (369 euro per day) 20 years (620 euro per day),candidates with more than 3 years of experience have differentdaily rate, depends thecase.
