- Research and investigate the scope of work for preparing documentation to obtain quotations.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends for construction materials and marine equipment.
- Evaluate tender rates for subsequent negotiations to secure the most favourable price.
- Ensure subcontractor/supplier material submittals comply with project specifications.
- Recommend the acceptance of the most suitable supplier/subcontractor to management.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and enforce quality standards for procured materials and equipment.
- Coordinate the logistics of material delivery to sites, considering the unique challenges associated with marine projects, to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project specifications and ensure materials meet technical requirements.
- Follow up on related variation orders and submit them for approval to the relevant party.
- Obtain management approval and issue sub-contract agreements.
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.
- In-depth understanding of construction materials, marine equipment, and civil engineering specifications.
- Expertise in optimizing supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
- Able to analyze technical documents and specifications to understand critical requirements.
- Demonstrates advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in office software, particularly Microsoft Excel or comparable programs.
- Exhibits proficiency in negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in procurement within the construction industry in the Middle East, with a focus on civil marine projects.
- Prior experience in KSA is highly preferred.
- Experience in conducting supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.

Job Description
As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and cost-effective sourcing, procurement, and management of materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
