    Job Overview:

    TheSenior Environmental Specialist uses their indepth knowledgeexperience of best practices and internal/external issues toimprove the Environment discipline within McDermott. They will actas a resource for colleagues with less experience and share theirconceptual and practical expertise related to the Environmentdiscipline. They will be responsible for solving complexEnvironmental problems using disciplinespecific knowledge andworking independently with minimal guidance. The SeniorEnvironmental Specialist impacts a range of customer operationalproject or service activities with the Environment team and otherrelated teams and ensures that they work within the appropriateguidelines and policies.



    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Guide project vessel andfacility in the implementation of companys and site/vesselspecificEnvironmental terms requirements and deliverables including projectcritical activities (e.g. Engineering Construction HUC Operationsand Contractor interfaces)
    • Identifiesexisting new and merged environmental legislation specific to thescope of work including monitoring compliance) and interpretationof its impact on the company business plan
    • Prepare and complete environmental aspects and impactsregister ENVID or other risk reviews including identification ofrelated controls to manage the environmental risks related to thescope of work and location
    • Ensureenvironmental plans procedures and instructions are developed andimplemented
    • Prepare and maintain theenvironmental legal and risk registers
    • Conduct Environmental Prequalification of subcontractorsand vendors as applicable
    • PrepareEnvironmental audit plans conducting of audits and managecorrective actions
    • Prepare Environmentalperformance reports and submission of same to the EnvironmentalFunctional Lead and Site Management
    • ProvideSME support to the company QHSES training department to includedevelopment and delivery
    • Develop and overseeplans to meet facility/project Objectives Targets and Goals alignedto the Global and BL Strategies and O&Ts
    • Lead or participate as SME in Incident Investigations andreporting
    • Lead and direct environmentalinvestigations following incidents and or noncompliances
    • Ensure that corrective actions andrecommendations are acted upon
    • Ensure reportcompletion for process and statutory requirements
    • Provide Environmental input into a look ahead plans andreports based on a project schedule
    • ProvideEnvironmental input to MOCs and Lessons Learned
    • Provide Environmental input in the development andmaintenance of Emergency Procedures
    • Attendand provide input to forums such as kickoff meetingsconstructability reviews readiness reviews etc.
    • Manage Environmental Performance Indicator datacollection ongoing reporting tracking and analysis
    • Implement and support communication and awareness ofenvironmental initiatives and campaigns
    • Support and provide input to the annual sustainabilityreport

    Essential Qualifications and Education:

    • Bachelors degree inEnvironmental Science Safety or Engineering or a related degree
    • Advanced education (i.e. MBA or other masterslevel education) is preferred
    • 6 years ofexperience within the Energy Industry and preferably within EPCIproject execution
    • Trained and experienced ISOstandards lead auditor (or
    • Ability towork as a team member as well as act as a team leader
    • Have experience with technical activities includingonshore and offshore operations
    • Maintain keycompetencies associated with the Environmental function
    • Communication and presentation skills both written andspoken
    • Be conversant with local Environmentallaws codes regulations and norms
    • Statisticaland data analysis ability
    • Good interpersonalskills
    • Conflict Resolution and leadershipskills
    • Willingness to travel
    • Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word AccessPowerPoint Excel
    • Preferred project managementexperience
    • Preferred knowledge of RegScanIntelex FigBytes and PowerBI platforms
