    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The HSE Specialist is responsiblefor ensuring HSE requirements on projects and keep liaison andinterface between the Client and Contractor projects /HSEmanagement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Ensuring implementationof adequate HSE Management systems within the project sphere andKhobar office as applicable.
    • Coordinate siterelated training programs: continually ensure an appropriate levelof awareness knowledge and preparedness across the organizationcoordinate training programs for employees.
    • Ensure that Project teams are aware of relevant HealthSafety and Environmental statutory compliance requirements and havesystems in place to ensure compliance.
    • Assistthe project team in setting monitoring & reporting on HSEobjectives & targets.
    • Provide and/orpresent project HSE management reports (weekly monthly) and ongoingcommunication with project management regarding the operationsperformance.
    • Ensure compliance with clientrelated procedures and conditions of the projectcontract.
    • Support to source appropriatevendors for safety training and HSE infrastructure maintenanceservices.
    • Establish and deliver safetyinduction to the office & site team as relevant.
    • Lead incident investigation with site HSE personnel andProject Management as required.
    • Ensurecompletion and facilitation of project internal and external auditrequirements.
    • Provide feedback and coaching asa part of audit debriefs follow up nonconformance to effectiveclosure with project personnel.
    • Lead/Assist inthe development of the project specific HSE plans policies& procedures.
    • Schedule and deliver HSEtraining as required and in accordance with procedures standardsand legislation.
    • Provide out of hours supportfor emergencies and events.
    • Conduct monthlyHSE inspection of Khobar office and ensure the same in otheroffices of KSA.
    • Ensureall Health Safety and Environmental reporting data collection andstatistical analysis is presented to the Project Management team ina timely manner and on a monthly basis (or as required) andreported to the relevant country HSEQ Manager.
    • Others as updated by line manager time totime.

    MYPROFILE

    Qualifications: A degree in science /Industrial /Mechanical Engineering Or a degree in Environmental/OHSor Equivalent.

    Affiliations:Membership in recognized safety council; Membership in recognizedenvironmental institution preferrable.

    JobSpecific Skills:(Example Analytical skills Auto CAD STAAD.Pro softwareskills etc.)

    • Strong ability inIncident management.
    • Good proficiency in HSEinspection.
    • Ability to manage on site HSEchallenges.
    • Ability to influence team towardssafety culture.
    • Effective lecturecommunication.
    • Knowledge of all relevantSafety and Environmental Legislation & Standards andCompliance Management statutory requirements relating to localRegional and International locations of operations.
    • Experience working with ISO integrated managementsystems.

    Generic Skills:(Example Written communication Digitalliteracy).

      • Excellent interpersonalskills.
      • Excellent time managementskills.
      • Excellent English communication skillsboth verbal and written.
      • Excellent trainingand presentation skills.
      • Good computerliteracy in MS Office (Word Excel and Power point).

    Training/certifications:

    • NEBOSH IGC Or Grad IOSH Or Tech IOSHcertification.
    • ISO 14001/45001 IRCA Certifiedinternal auditor course.

    Preferrable:

    • BOSIET Training.
    • Saudi governmentsafety classification.
    • NVQ OHS orequivalent.
    • Tertiary qualifications in Health& Safety and / or Environment.
